Pharmacy Council is an automation that provides registration for all grades of pharmacists. The Pharmacy Council makes the database of A Grade Pharmacist, B Grade Pharmacist, C Grade Pharmacist ( Pharmacy Technician), University list, and Institution list.

Pharmacist Category in Bangladesh. Three categories of pharmacy are available in Bangladesh. Category A, Category B, and Category C ( Category C also called Pharmacy Technician). They are Grade A Pharmacist, Grade B pharmacists, and Grade C pharmacists respectively. B Pharm and M Pharm degree holders are Category A Pharmacists. These degrees are bachelor’s and Master’s from Public or Private Universities. 4 Years Diploma holders under IHT are Category B Pharmacists. Grade C Pharmacist Course or Category C Pharmacist Course are available at HRTD Medical Institute. HRTD Medical Institute is located near Mirpur 10 Glochattar, Dhaka. Our location is Section-6, Block-Kha, Road-1, Plot-11, Metro Rail Piller No. 249. HRTD Medical Institute helps the students with the processing of the Grade C Pharmacist Exam. Before the Category C exam, the Pharmacy Council arranges some lectures for the candidates. Any SSC-passed citizen of Bangladesh below 50 years old can apply for the Category C exam in the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh.

Requirements for establishing a Model Pharmacy and Model Medicine Shop are different. A Grade Pharmacist is needed to start and direct a Model Pharmacy Whereas a C Grade or B Grade Pharmacist is needed to start and direct a Model Medicine Shop. The area of the pharmacy must be at least 120 Square Feet. A Drug license must be for a Model Medicine Shop issued by the Authority of Drug Administration. After Completing the Grade C Pharmacist Course and Pharmacy Council Exam You Can Start a Model Medicine Shop by taking a Trade License and Drug License.

How to Start a Model Medicine Shop
Model Medicine Shop is one of the two Pharmacy Categories in Bangladesh. After completing a Pharmacy Course ( Short Course or Long Course ) you should apply for the C Grade Pharmacist Exam ( Pharmacy Technician) of the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh. The minimum qualification for applying for the PCB Grade Exam, you have SSC pass and an age below 50 years. After passing PCB Exam you will get a Registration Number from the Pharmacy Council of Bangladesh. Then you can go advance to start a Model Medicine Shop. The grade C Pharmacist Course will help you to pass the Pharmacy Council Exam.
Commercial Room, Trade License, and other requirements
Take a commercial room with a deed copy on the stamp of Tk 3000.00 only. Take a Trade License and collect some other documents like a Bank Statement, View Card Size 4 Copy photo of your decorated pharmacy, NID Card for processing of Drug License. For this Pharmacy Category in Bangladesh, you need at least 120 square feet of room. Grade C Pharmacist Course will help you manage all papers and licenses to start a Model Medicine Shop.
If you are above 50 years old how you will start your business
For above 50 years old people there is another option to start a pharmacy business. Firstly complete a pharmacy course ( Grade C Pharmacist Course like Pharmacy Course 3 Months, Pharmacy Course 6 Months, or Pharmacy Course 1 Year) for pharmacy business knowledge. Hire a C Grade Pharmacist and get a Drug license after completing all previous processes. The processes are given here in the next paragraph.
Processes to start a Model Medicine Shop
The processes are taking a commercial room with a deed copy, taking a trade license, taking a Bank Statement, and decorating your commercial room of a minimum of 120 square feet. You can make your wife, son, or daughter a C Grade Pharmacist who is below 50 years old. A drug license holds two names. One is the owner and the other is the pharmacist. You can choose a pharmacist either at your nearest one or by hiring a person who has completed the C Grade Pharmacist Exam. Remember that you must have a pharmacy before you get a drug license. Grade C Pharmacist Course will help you in every step for starting a Pharmacy Business.
